Configuring Events
What are Events?
An Event is a set of predefined instructions designed to notify administrators and/or app users about specific activities. Events can only be applied at the group level.
Events operate using a Trigger & Recipient logic:
- Trigger – Records when a user’s device performs a specific action, such as moving from one country to another.
- Recipient – Determines how the trigger is communicated, sending an Email and/or SMS to the relevant group.
Configuring Events
To configure Events, go to the Group & User Administration page and select the group you wish to configure. Once selected, click Edit at the top. In this example, we are adding events to New Group.

The editor page for that group will then appear. Scroll down to Events and click Edit.

The Events editor page for that group will be displayed. Click New and choose the Event Type from the drop-down menu.

Event Notifications
Once the Event has been created, you need to set up the action to notify specific groups. By configuring the recipient details, administrators can decide which group(s) receive which notifications.
Select the Event you want to configure until it is highlighted in blue, then click Recipients.

The Recipient editor page will open. Click New to configure the notifications.

Click the Magnifying Glass and select the group from the list to receive the notifications. To enable SMS, Voice Call, and/or Email notifications, toggle the switches to On.
To remove a recipient group, click the bin icon. Click Save to apply the changes.
