Escalation Alert Event

The Escalation Alert event type responds to a Red Flag Alert. Instead of notifying all recipients, it follows a pre-defined list of contacts in order. You can configure the Escalation Alert to send notifications via Email, SMS, and/or Voice Call when a user raises a Red Flag Alert.

From the Group and User Administration page, click on a group until it highlights in blue, then select Edit. A new page will appear—click on Events. The following page allows you to add the Escalation Alert Event. Click New and select Alert Escalation List Event.

The event will be listed as shown below. Click the Edit button to configure it.

Turn the Enabled switch to On to ensure the required actions are carried out.

Turn the Safety Check switch to On to send an automated safety check SMS to the person who pressed the red alert button on their device.

In the Points of Contact (PoC) section, click Add Entry to include the people who should be notified of a Red Alert event. The first person on the list will be contacted, and if no action is taken within 2 minutes, the next person on the list will receive the notification that a user has raised a Red Flag Alert.

In the Escalation section, you can add notes or instructions for the PoC to follow.

Note: When PoCs are added to the Escalation Alert event, there is no need to add Recipients, and this option will be greyed out.
