Device Configuration allows administrators to set up and personalise the Vismo app on users’ devices. This can be done at the account level, applying settings to all users within the account, or at the group level for specific user groups.
Start by choosing whether to configure the Theme at the Account Level or Group Level. Then, open the Device Configuration page for the chosen level.
General
From the Device Configuration page, the General section enables administrators to configure the Check-in Set and App Homepage. There is a range of default settings, all of which can be adjusted to the preferred options.
To modify any of the general settings, click on the Default drop-down and select Changed. Then, add the preferred check-in set to the device configuration.
Customising the App Homepage
To configure the app homepage, click on the Default drop-down and select Changed. The Edit box will then appear. Click on Edit to modify the app homepage.
The app homepage editor will appear. Here, you can configure how the app homepage is displayed on the user’s device.
To edit the Vismo app, drag and drop the tiles from the left-hand side of the screen onto the device displayed on the right.
To add a tile to a new row, place the tile on "Drop a Tile Here to Create a New Row."
To add multiple tiles to the same row, hold the tile over the area where you want it to appear. In the example below, we are adding the Dialler tile to the same row as the View Map tile.
Once the tile is on the device, it can be configured.
To configure the tile, click on the tile you wish to edit. The selected tile will be highlighted in yellow, and the tile editor pop-up will appear on the left.
From the tile configuration page, you can adjust the height and width of the tile. You can also change the colour of some tiles, the colour of icons, the icon itself, and the actions the tile performs.
If you no longer want the tile to appear in the app, click on the bin icon to remove it.
Layout
Clicking on Layout at the top allows you to edit the app’s layout settings. A layout settings pop-up will then appear.
- Allow Scrolling – Enables the user to scroll between the tiles on the app.
- Fixed Header – Locks the top row of tiles to the top of the app.
- Fixed Footer – Locks the bottom row of tiles to the bottom of the app.
Toggle the switches On or Off as preferred, then click Change.
Once you have configured the Vismo app, remember to click Save to apply the changes to the device.
