What are Events?
An Event is a set of predetermined instructions configured to notify administrators and/or App users of specific activities. Events can only be applied at the group level.
Events are built on a Trigger & Recipient logic.
- Triggers - This will record when a user's device has behaved in a certain way. For example, moving from one country to another.
- Recipient - This is the mechanism by which the trigger is picked up and an Email and/or SMS is sent to the relevant group.
Configuring Events
From the Group & User Administration page, select the group to configure the Events. Once selected, click on Edit at the top. In this example, we are adding events to New Group.
That group's editor page will then display. Scroll down to Events and click on Edit.
The Events editor page for that group will show. Click on New and select the Event Type from the drop-down. View the different type of Events here.
Event Notifications
Once the Event has been created, the action to notify specific groups needs to take place. By configuring the recipient's details, administrators can determine which group(s) receives which notifications.
Select the Event you wish to configure the notifications for until it highlights in blue and then click on Recipients.
The Recipient editor page will open. Click on New to set up the notifications.
Click on the Magnifying Glass and select the group from the list to receive the notifications. To enable SMS, Voice Call and/or Email notifications turn the switches to On.
To delete a recipient group, click on the bin icon. Click Save to configure the changes.
