Adding POI Layers to Maps
Once the POI layers have been configured, administrators can add POI layers to the map.
Begin by searching for the location where you’d like to add a POI layer. The location details bar will show. Click on the Actions and select Create POI.
Alternatively, you can choose your POI area manually. From your map dashboard, click on the spanner icon from the side panel and click on Select Area. A popup will ask which shape you’d like to draw on the map. Note: To create a POI, a Circle must be selected.
A radius will be drawn from the circle start point as you pull the mouse outwards. Click on the map where you’d like your circle to appear and drag your mouse outward to increase the radius. You can edit the shape by clicking on any of the points to increase/decrease the circle size.
Once the area has been defined click on the circle to reveal the actions bar at the bottom of the screen. Click on the Actions down arrow and click on Create POI.
A POI Layer popup will display. Select the type of POI layer from the drop-down. Follow the prompts to add the desired layer.
Add a Title and Description for that POI layer.
Add a Start and End Date to the POI layer. If no date is added, the POI will remain on the map unless it is deleted.
Use Customer Radius uses the defined radius of the circle drawn on the map. If the switch is set to No, the radius will be set to the default radius parameters of the POI layer type.
Click Create to add your POI layer.
To view your POIs go back to the map dashboard and select the relevant POIs.
