- Is Vismo Alert 2.0 waterproof?
The Vismo alert 2.0 buttons are rated with IP44 standard which officially classifies them as splashproof. They are not fully waterproof and we do not recommend using them in environments where the button could be fully submerged or sprayed with water for more than 10 minutes. However, touching the button with wet hands, or just light splashing of water will not affect the button.
- What is the battery life?
For most use-cases, it will last up to one year or more.
- Can the same button be used across multiple devices?
Yes, but this is not recommended as the button can only communicate with one device at a time. If you still wish to connect the same button to another device, please follow these steps.
1 - Turn off Bluetooth on the device that is already connected to your Vismo Alert button 2.0.
2 - Make sure the button pulsates in red/Amber when you click it.
3 - Follow the instructions on how to pair the button in this article.
- If the Vismo Alert 2.0 is connected to multiple devices, which one will it trigger?
Vismo Alert 2.0 will connect to the first device it can find, and cannot operate on more than one device simultaneously.
- What do the LED colours mean?
Green – The button is communicating with a device. This does not mean the action has been carried out successfully. It only means the button has successfully asked the device to perform an action.
Amber – The button is not communicating with the app. Possible reasons include - the device is not paired or out of range, or in the case of iOS, the app has been swiped away.
Red – The device has never been paired, or the device is out of range. If the red light is constant, the battery is reaching the end of its lifespan.
- What is the maximum range of the Vismo Alert 2.0?
50 metres outside. The more barriers the shorter the range.
- How do I know if the button is paired?
Press the button and if the LED flashed green, it means it is paired with a device and within range of that device.
- I have multiple buttons paired with one device, how do I know I am pressing the correct one?
1) Open the Vismo app and click on Settings.
2) Select Bluetooth Devices.
3) Just press one of them and the button's corresponding image will move/wobble.

The Vismo Alert 2.0 lights with constant Red light turned on. What shall I do?
This will happen if the button cannot boot properly, since the LED is powered on by default, and the software usually turns it off immediately after boot. The most common issue is that the battery has too low voltage for the chip to boot, but is still high enough for the LED to be driven. It can also happen when the battery is inserted too quickly after being removed.
Please note: This question is not about getting a flashing Red light once, when you press the button. Please see LED configuration above.
1 - Take out the battery, push the button a few times to discharge any remaining current/voltage in the device, then insert the battery again. If working properly, the LED should light up briefly and then turn off.
2 - If reinserting the battery always results in constant red light, please insert a fresh battery having at least 3.0 V.
