Vismo Locate & Protect App Setup Guide - Android

Go to the Google Play store, find ‘Vismo: Locate & Protect,’ install it, then open the app to set it up.

 

 

Signing In

Once you open the app, set up your login info and permissions. You can either sign in with your credentials (username & password) or use an invite code sent by your administrator.

 

By Invite Code

 1.  Enter the 6- character invite code your administrator has sent you via SMS or email.

 2.  Click ‘Sign In.’

 

By Credentials (Username & Password)

 1.  Type in the username your administrator has sent you.

 2.  Click ‘Continue.’

 3.  You will now be able to type in your password, again sent by your administrator.

 4.  Click ‘Sign In.’ 

 

 

Permissions & Settings

After entering your login details, you will need to grant app permissions. On first setup you will be shown the following options for location services.

 

Please select ‘Precise’ and ‘While using the app’.

But you will need to alter these settings.

 

For Vismo to work properly, it is essential to have location services set to ‘Precise’ and ‘Allow all the time.’ To adjust these settings, go to your device settings and search for ‘Vismo.’ Select Vismo, select permissions, select location and then select 'Allow all the time'.

 

Vismo also needs permission for Microphone, Notifications and Nearby Devices

to work properly.

 

If your device has power-saving features, they might limit Vismo when it is running in the background.

To let Vismo track efficiently and effectively, set your devices Battery settings to ‘Unrestricted.

 

Please ensure that the option to "Pause app activity if unused" is turned off in the permissions, as this can impact battery usage for the Vismo app.

 

To review app permissions or battery settings anytime, go to your device settings and search for ‘Vismo.’ From there, you can update permissions and settings to troubleshoot any in-app problems.

 

 

Diagnostics

You can run diagnostics in the app to check for any issues and how to fix them.

While using the Vismo app, tap the menu on the top left, then select ‘Settings.’

Under the support menu, select ‘Diagnostics.’  Tap ‘Run all tests’ to check your device settings. If you see green tick icons, your device is optimised. If you see amber or red icons, this means your device settings need adjusting.

The Vismo Locate & Protect app operates in the background, requiring continuous access to the device's battery. While it may appear as high usage, the actual battery drain is low. Mobile devices show usage, not drain. Vismo frequently monitors battery usage and promptly addresses any concerns.
