Vismo Locate & Protect App Setup Guide – iOS

Go to the Apple App store, find ‘Vismo: Locate & Protect,’ install it, then open the app to set it up.


Signing in

Once you open the app, set up your login info and permissions. You can either sign in with your credentials (username & password) or use an invite code sent by your administrator.


By Invite Code

1. Enter the 6- character invite code your administrator has sent you via SMS or email.

2. Click ‘Sign In.’

By Credentials (Username & Password)

1. Type in the username your administrator has sent you.

2. Click ‘Continue.’

3. You will now be able to type in your password, again sent by your administrator.

4. Click ‘Sign In.’

Permissions & Settings


After entering your login details, you will need to grant app permissions. On first setup you will be shown the following options for location services.

Please select ‘Precise’ and ‘Allow While Using App.’ But you will need to alter these settings.

You will need to alter these settings to ‘Always’ for Vismo to work properly. Go to your device settings, search for Vismo, and update the permissions for the app accordingly.


For Vismo to work well, make sure to grant permission for Microphone.

Additionally, ensure Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & Mobile/Cellular data are turned on.

If your device has power-saving features, they could restrict Vismo’s performance when it’s running in the background.

To ensure Vismo tracks efficiently, disable ‘low power mode’ in your device’s battery settings.

To review app permissions or battery settings anytime, go to your device settings and search for ‘Vismo.’ From there, you can update permissions and settings to troubleshoot any in-app issues.

Diagnostics

You can run diagnostics in the app, to check for any issues and how to fix them.

While using the ‘Vismo’ app, tap the menu on the top left, then select ‘Settings.’

Under the support menu, select ‘Diagnostics.’ Tap ‘Run all tests’ to check your device settings. If you see green tick icons, your device is optimised. If you see amber or red icons, it means your device settings need adjusting.

iOS Location Notifications:

From time-to-time iOS will send pop-up notifications in response to Vismo using location services.

For Vismo to work properly it requires continuous background location fixes. To prevent Vismo from becoming inefficient please select ‘Always Allow’ when these notifications appear. App permission can be reviewed at any time.

Go to your device settings and search for ‘Vismo.’ From there, you can update permissions and settings.

Battery Usage & Drain:

The Vismo Locate & Protect app operates in the background, requiring continuous access to the device's battery. While it may appear as high usage, the actual battery drain is low. Mobile devices show usage, not drain. Vismo frequently monitors battery usage and promptly addresses any concerns.
